Dr. Salman A. Shah, a renowned Pediatric Cardiac Surgeon who has performed the life-saving surgeries of so many of our patients, and someone we are immensely proud to have on our Medical Advisory Board, had the opportunity to enlighten 2 distinguished individuals about our cause. Dr. Sayed Asad Ali, a Nephrologist, and Dr. Syed Ahsan Ali, a Gastroenterologist, were both visiting us all the way from Dayton, Ohio (USA). Both of them are very special to us, as they support our organization tremendously in every way possible, especially by hosting our fundraisers in North America.
They were shown our Cardiac Care Centre at the University Of Lahore Teaching Hospital (ULTH) and also the construction site of our landmark project, Pakistan’s first dedicated Children’s Heart Hospital & Research Institute (CHHRI). The progress we are making on the journey to conquering Congenital Heart Disease (CHD) in Pakistan, the world’s most common birth defect, certainly left a positive mark on them.
When it comes to our goal, which is to ensure that not a single child born with CHD in Pakistan remains untreated, we need you, our phenomenal supporters, to continue spreading the word so that more exceptional people, who can help us shape a brighter future for families affected by CHD, are inspired to join us.
