Project Danial: Capacity Building Workshop Led By Mr. Theo van de Kerkhof
We are grateful beyond measure to Mr. Theo van de Kerkhof for conducting a capacity-building workshop at The Children’s Hospital, Lahore, titled, ‘Breaking Perception: The use of small range selected catheter curves during trans catheters Cath Lab treatment of children with Congenital Heart Disease (CHD)’. This was an invaluable opportunity for Pediatric Cardiologists and Pediatric Cath Lab staff (nurses, technicians & radiographers) to learn from a tremendously experienced Cath Lab technician who is the Director/Founder of Big Heart for Small Heart Foundation in the Netherlands and also Director/Owner of CareToConsult, a Medical Device Consultancy also involved in Humanitarian Mission Coordination.
Since 2016, as a Humanitarian Mission Coordinator treating children with CHD via transcatheter, he has led 48 humanitarian missions and been involved in 3,000 procedures. Having him be a part of our Project Danial as well is an absolute honour and privilege. Together, may we continue to shape a brighter future for those affected by CHD, the world’s most common birth defect. #PediatricCardiology #CapacityBuilding #Pediatrics #CathLab #HumanitarianMission
